History

Peugeot Type 4 is a single model especially conceived in 1892 by Armand Peugeot (1849 - 1915) (founder of the cars Peugeot in 1889) for the Bey de Tunis Ali III Beyen, military first Gouverneur of the city of the Ottoman Empire during the French Protectorat in Tunisia (1881 - 1956).

This model is designed on the basis of motorized hackney carriage whose driver and passengers sat face to face.

It profits from a decoration personalized at the request of its owner containing Marguerite S painted on wood and made out of hammered and engraved metal.
