Stamps of Luxembourg 2007

This article counts the stamps Luxembourg emitted in 2007 by the Entreprise Posts and Telecommunications (P&T Luxembourg).

General information

The emissions is marked “LUXEMBOURG STATIONS” and a facial value made out in Euro (€).

Tariffs

Here postage rates being able to be realized using one only of the stamps emitted in 2007. The principal variation is related on dimensions and the weight of the fold.

In interior service:

  • 0,25 € : standard letter of less than 20 gram reserved for associations with nonlucrative goal.
  • 0,50 € or “has”: standard letter of less than 20 grams.
  • 0,70 € : standard letter from 20 to 50 grams.
  • 1 €: nonstandard letter up to 100 grams.

Bound for the foreigner:

  • 0,70 € : standard letter of less than 20 grams towards the Europe.
  • 1 €: standard letter from 20 to 50 grams towards the Europe.

Luxembourg and the Great Area, European capital of the culture

January 30th, at the time of the year 2007 during which the Luxembourg and the Grande Area carry the title of “European Capitale of the culture”, is emitted a notebook of eight self-adhesive stamps carrying “has” like facial value (0,50 € at the time of the emission). Using plain surfaces of bright colors, the four illustrations of the eight stamps put in scene silhouettes of stag S.

The stamps are designed by Lombard and are associated, a Agence of communication of Metz. The stamps are printed in offset by the Dutch printer Enschedé Stamps of Haarlem.

March

50e birthday of the Treaty of Rome

March 20th, two stamps for the fiftieth anniversary of the signature of the the Treaty of Rome instituting are emitted the European Economic community, on March 25th, 1957. The 0,70 € reproduces colors a photograph of the meeting of the official signatures, while on the 1 €, photography is plunged in a blue content on which are registered the name of the twelve signatories (two for each State founders).

The stamps of 3 × 4 cm are put on page by the Luxembourg agency Repères Communication, starting from documents provided by the audio-visual Service of the European commission. They are printed in offset by French Cartor Security Print in sheet of ten specimens.

Postocollants

March 20th, is emitted two boxes containing each one a roller of one hundred self-adhesive stamps of 0,25 € or 0,50 € according to the box. The two types used are either the facial value, or the word “POSTS” put colors and laid out above the usual mentions. In all, eight variations of colors (four by boxes to multiply by two by types) exist. The stamps carry to the back a number indicating the number of stamps remaining in the box.

The stamps of 2,5 × 3 cm are created by Vidale & Gloesener and are printed in Photogravure by the Dutch printer Enschedé Stamps.

The philatelic service sells with the collectors two bands of four types extracted from these boxes for the price of the facial value (3 €).

75 years of the Car club of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

March 20th, is emitted a Timbre commemorative of 0,50 € for the 75e birthday of the Automobile club of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (ACL). The illustration is a scene of breakdown service by the ACL of a car blue, with the logotype of association on the line.

The stamp of 2,8 × 3,84 cm is created by the Luxembourg agency Advantage Communication starting from a photograph provided by the ACL. The stamp is printed in offset in sheet of ten by the Imprimerie of the Malines stamp, in Belgium.

75 years of Caritas Luxembourg

March 20th, is emitted a stamp of 0,50 € for the 75e birthday of Caritas Luxembourg, a federation of Luxembourg charitable associations. An young girl looks at intensely in a kind of soap bubble. The slogan of this birthday written on the stamp is “To offer the future” ( Zukunft schenken! Luxemburgish ).

The stamp of 2,8 × 3,84 cm is created by the agency Advantage Communication and is printed in offset in sheet of ten by the Imprimerie of the Malines stamp, in Belgium.

Centenary of cities

May 22nd, is emitted four stamps commemorative of 0,50 € for the centenary of the accession to the title of city of Differdange ( Déifferdang ), Dudelange ( Diddeleng ), Ettelbruck ( Ettelbréck ) and Rumelange ( Rëmeleng ) by the law of August 4th, 1907. Each stamp is a linked space of color on which is posed three last and current photographs of one of the cities and a fourth paperboard carrying the legend 100 Joer Stad and the name of the city in Luxembourg.

The photographs are provided by the files of each city and the architects Paul Bretz and David Flammang for the most recent buildings. The stamps of 4,015 × 2,975 cm are put on page by the graphic designers Vidale and Gloesener. They each one are printed in sheet of ten by the Imprimerie of the Malines stamp, in Belgium.

Europa: centenary of scouting

May 22nd, within the framework of the emission Europa, two stamps on the annual topic of the centenary of the Scoutisme are emitted. The illustrations are the first two prices of a contest organized among the movement Luxembourg scout. The drawing of the 0,50 € is devoted to the activities around the Campfire. The 0,70 € watch importance on a worldwide scale of the movement: on bottom of Globe, is put in parallel an alignment of people being held by the hand and a Reef knot.

The drawings are signed Jenny Spielmann (0,50 €) and Jean Heuschling (0,70 €). They are put on page by the agency Repères communications on stamps of 4 × 3 cm printed in sheet of ten specimens by the French printer Cartor Security Print, with the Magnifying glass.

Cultural places

May 22nd, are emitted three stamps on cultural spot of Luxembourg, opened in the years 2000. On the 0,50 €, the drawing of a guitarist of rock'n'roll recalls the Center of music amplified and the concert halls of the Rockhal, inaugurated in September 2005 with the Esch-on-Alzette, on the old industrial site of Belval. The 0,70 € is interested in graphic arts with a stylized sight of the Musée of modern art Large-Duke Jean shortened in “Mudam” according to architecture that Ieoh Ming Pei planned for this museum built in the Fort Thüngen and completed in July 2006. The 1 € reproduces an almost vertical air photograph Arts center of Abbaye meeting of Neumünster, located in the district of Grund in the capital . The abbey is refitted since May 2004 in a cultural place including/understanding notammen a theater.

The square stamps of 3,5 side cm are drawn by Pit Wagner (“Rockhal”), Jean-Christophe Massinon (“Mudam”). The photography of the abbate of Neumünster is page layout by the agency Binsfeld Conseil. The stamps are printed in sheet of ten by the Imprimerie of the Malines stamp, in Belgium.

European capital of the culture: joint emission with Belgium

September 3rd, at the time of a joint emission with the Belgium, is emitted a stamp of 0,70 € representing the Rotonde station of Luxembourg renovated with the beginning of the year 2000 to become a cultural site. The stamp carries the Logotype to the blue reindeer recalling that the joint emission takes place the year when Luxembourg and the Grande Area are European Capitale of the culture; the Walloon region pertaining to the Great Area.

The stamp of 2,766 × 4,02 cm reproduces a photograph of Christian Aschmann. It is printed in Héliogravure in feuilel of ten by the Imprimerie of the Malines stamp.

The September 3rd, is emitted the standard stamp of Belgium in the same way, of a value of 0,80 €, which does not carry the logotype. Belgian La Poste supplements the joint emission of a stamp of 0,52 € on a natural landscape with Botassart, the “Tombeau of the Giant”.

European capital of the culture: joint emission with Romania

September 3rd, is emitted a stamp of 0,70 €, is started from a joint emission with the Romania, where Sibiu is, also European Capitale of the culture in 2007. The stamp luxembourgois represents the frontage of the House of Luxembourg ( Casa Luxemburg ) with Sibiu, inaugurated in 2004.

The stamp of 4 × 3 cm is an interpretation by the Luxembourg agency Advantage Communication of a photograph of Menn Bodson. It is printed in offset in sheet of ten units by Cartor Security Printing, with the Magnifying glass in France.

The Rumanian post office emits an illustration different from the Casa Luxeburg in two forms: a stamp of 3,60 lei and included in a block presenting a broader view of the city, a value of 4,50 lei.

European capital of the culture: transborderism

September 3rd, included in the Luxembourg part of the joint emission with Belgium, is emitted a stamp of 0,50 € resulting from a competition based on the topic of the transborderism , this phenomenon of going beyond of the Frontière S by the individuals and the artists. The selected illustration presents a tangle of the letters evoking the four countries whose areas take part in the Grande Area, European Capitale of the culture in 2007: the Germany (D), the Belgium (B), the France (F) and Luxembourg (L). Even if the coloured letters form four homogeneous spaces, some of the letters are found in these spaces.

The creative one of the stamp is Stéphanie Rausch. The stamp of 2,766 × 4,02 cm is printed in Héliogravure in sheet of ten specimens by the Imprimerie of the Malines stamp.

Mission of peace

September 3rd, is emitted a stamp of 0,70 € to honor the missions with peace ( Friddenmissiounen ) of the Luxembourg army since 1992 within the framework of the Gripping force of the peace of the United Nations and operations of the Organization of the treaty of the North Atlantic, mainly in old the Yugoslavia. On the drawing, a soldier Luxembourg greenhouse the hand of an inhabitant, in a helped country.

The stamp of 4,015 × 2,975 cm is created by the agency Advantage Communication and is printed in sheet of ten by the Imprimerie of the Malines stamp.

Romance mosaic of Vichten

September 3rd, is emitted a block-layer of five stamps (four octagonal of 0,50 € around a square of 1 €) reproducing the mosaic Romance of Vichten, discovered in 1995 in the vestiges of a villa Roman and dated from IIIe century after Jesus-Christ. The emission coincides with the tenth birthday of the return of the mosaic to Luxembourg, after a restoration carried out with the Rheinisches Landesmuseum of Trier.

The mosaic preserved at the National museum of history and art of Luxembourg is reproduced on a square layer of 11 side cm printed in offset by Cartor Security Printing, with the Magnifying glass in France.
