Stamp columns
In Micro-electronic, a matrix of columns (translation of the English Column grid array or CGA) indicates a type of interconnection between the case of a component and the Printed circuit English (: printed circuit board or PCB).
The matrix of columns is used for to weld a assembled Composant surfaces of them or CMS (in English: Surface mount technology or SMT).
It is appeared as several lines of columns (or cylinders ) aligned on a grid. The word matrix is used here in its mathematical direction , i.e. a synonym of table, roasts.
One should not confuse this type of welding with the interconnections chip-case (like the Câblage by wire, FC, etc).
