Stahl bank

The ms Bank Stahl is largest Navire sailing Vraquier to date.

It is about a Minéralier, being able to transport 364  768 tons of Iron ore. It was built in 1986 by Hyundai Heavy Industries. It is chartered by the Norwegian Armateur Bergesen Worldwide Group.

Description

The Berge Stahl makes 343 m of length, 65 m broad and has a Tirant of water of 23 Mr. It is propelled by a Diesel engine Hyundai two-stroke 7L90MCE of 27  610 horses (that is to say 12,8 MW), being 9 m high, and directly involving a single Propeller 9 m in diameter; it can reach 13,5 nodes at full speed. The loading is carried out in eight holds.

Because of its impressive size, the Berge Stahl can operate only in two ports: the Final Marítimo de Ponta da Madeira close to Itiqua, with the Brésil, and the Europort of Rotterdam. It transports ore of Brazil to the Netherlands ten times per annum, that is to say a voyage return ticket five week old. The return is carried out on ballast.

The crew includes/understands six Norwegian officers and ten Filipino sailors.
