Stage of the Tour de France of the Fields-Élysées
The Tour de France completes its course on the Fields-Élysées in Paris since 1975. Before this date, the Turn was completed with the Parc of the Princes (1903 - 1967) then to the Cipale (1968 - 1974).
This stage is an apotheosis for the sprinters who generally dispute the victory over this prestigious stage. The edition which however remains in the memories is not a sprint, but an arrival of against the watch individual in 1989. Laurent Fignon leaves the victory to Greg Lemond for seven seconds.
