The Stadion Partizana , in Serb Cyrillic СтадионПартизана and in French Stage of Partizan , is located at Belgrade, the capital of the Serbia. It is currently mainly used to accommodate the matches of Football FK Partizan.

History

Stadion Partizana was inaugurated the October 9th 1949 with a match between the Yugoslavia and the France. It bore a long time the name of JNA and was used for the processions of the Day of youth (May 25th).

At the time of its construction, it was conceived to accommodate: 55000 spectators; but, to answer the criteria of safety of UEFA, it was renovated in 1998 and its capacity was reduced to: 32710 places.

Rebuilding/Construction

A project envisages the complete destruction of the present stage and the rebuilding of a new stage. The beginning of work is scheduled for August 2007 and they should last two years. The new stage, planned for: 36000 spectators, should be integrated into a complex covering a surface of 12,5 Hectare S, including/understanding, in particular, a hotel five stars, a great business district, a carpark of two stages, a cinema multiplexings, new short of tennis and approximately 400 apartments.

While waiting, FK Partizan Belgrade will play its national matches in residence on the ground of the " High school militaire" located in the vicinity international and its matches on the Omladinski Stadion (the stage of OFK Belgrade or on that of FK Smederevo.
