Stage of Hardturm

The Stage of Hardturm (in the spoken language, the Hardturm ), was inaugurated in 1929. It bears the name of a district of the town of Zurich. It accommodates the matches Grasshopper-Club Zurich. At the time of the Football world cup of 1954, 5 meetings proceeded in this stage.

The Hardturm answers the criteria of UEFA, with a capacity of 17.666 spectators, including 16.066 sitted places.

No match of the Euro 2008 will be played Hardturm. Because of the legal controversies and procedures, the construction of a new stage could not have been carried out within the deadlines.

The principal platform burned twice, in 1934 and 1968.
