The stage Jean-Bouin is the principal stage of the town of Angers. It accommodates the club of Football Angers Sporting Club of the West, evolving/moving leagues 2 of them. Its capacity is currently of 16901 places.
This enclosure was inaugurated in 1912 under the name of stage Bessonneau . It is renovated in 1925. Become municipal stage in 1957, it is again renovated and athletics girdling tracks it the ground up to that point is destroyed. The stage is renamed Jean-Bouin and can then contain more 21 000 spectators. Following restrictions related to safety, the capacity of the stage is limited to 17 000 places at the end of the Years 1990.
