The Stade Clermontois Auvergne Basket 63 (SCAB63) is a club French female of Basket-ball French pertaining to the female Ligue of tennis shoe, more the high level of the championship of France. The club, based with Clermont-Ferrand, is a section general sports Club Stade Clermontois.
History
Beginnings
August 1stThe years 2000
The SCAB was décendu in 1997 at the second level of the championship, at the same time as the neighbors of the ACE Montferrand. Meanwhile the female championship reformaté the elite became the female Ligue of tennis shoe and the SCAB63 is in NF1. The scabists will discover the LFB for the season 2002-03, but will remain only one season there. In 2003-2004, it is in the 3rd place that the SCAB63 completes its championship of NF1, in front of them, Strasbourg and the Federal Center. These last not being able to reach (by convention near the League) the elite, it is thus Clermont-Ferrand which finds LFB, one year after having left it. Consequently occasion Paoline Salagnac is elected MVP NF1.Determined not to make the elevator any more, the SCAB does not release any match in 2004-05 and finally manage to hang one 5th place of regular season, then 7th final place. Maintains is largely assured, but better the SCAB is found qualified for the Eurocoupe the following season.
For a first participation in the Eurocoupe ( created in 2003 ), the SCAB finds in the group L in company of the German of BG Dorsten, the Italian of Maddaloni and of the Spanish of Halcón Avenida. This hard competition does not prevent the auvergnates from being left the hen phase with an assessment of 3 victories and 3 defeats. In 16th of finale, the shves-wolf arvernes bail out of an adversary broken well with the European tournaments, MBK Ružomberok, and the short victory in residence (the 67-66 on December 8th, 2005) is not enough for them to pass this turn, since they incline out of Slovak grounds one week later (93-77). In championship of LFB, the SCAB is qualified for the playoffs by finishing the season with the 9th position. But the adventure finishes first turn (8th of finale), demolishes in two handles by Mourenx
With the off season, the SCAB63 shows the departures of Yacine Sene which turns over to Aix-en-Provence, of Petra Štampalija which joined the Italy and Spezia, of Ndeye Ndiaye and Andra Mandache. But records the arrivals of Dawn Chriss (Virginia Tech), of Pauline Krawczyk (champion of Europe of less than 20 years with the team of France, CJM Bourges Basket), of Bélinda Me Boma (Club Tennis shoe of Yews), of Edyta Nadrowska and finally of Andrea Gardner (which played 2 years with the Seattle Storm in WNBA).
April 2007 marks a small revolution in the history of the club with the departures back-to-back of the trainer Pascal Dellaliaux and the emblematic player Paoline Salagnac.

Logo, colors and nickname
August 1st The colors of the club are inherited the general sports club (the Stade Clermontois), but the red and blue are in the beginning those of the town of Clermont-Ferrand.The SCAB63 is known under the nickname of the shves-wolf arvernes . The term Arverne refers to that of Gallic alive in the area. The wolf finds itself, him, on the logo of the club.
