Stage Adolphe-Chéron
The stage Adolphe-Chéron is the principal stage of Football and Athlétisme of the town of Saint-Maur-of-Ditches (the Valley-of-Marne).
This stage of 3500 places used today by the footballers of the US Lusitanos Saint-Maur was the theater of exploits of athletics, in particular the records beaten by Michel Jazy during famous “the evenings of Saint-Maur” of the Années 1960: the June 27th 1962, Jazy beats the world records of the 3000 meters in 7:49.2; the June 2nd 1965, Jazy beats the world records of the mile in 3:55.5; . Besides Jazy bids its farewell with the competition the October 12th 1966 with Chéron by beating the world records of the 2000 meters (4: 56.1). Herve D' Encausse beats there the record of Europe of the jump to the pole on June 5th, 1968 (5,37 m). Guy Drut beats there the world records of the 100 meters hedges the July 23rd 1975 in 13.1.
