Staff of the marine

The staff of the navy assists the Chief of staff of the navy of the French National marine.

The staff of the navy is placed under the authority of the general Major of the navy (MGM). It is about a functional command (applying to all the navy).

Organization in divisions and offices

Divisions are directed by general officers of marine. They are called assistant manager of staff where are replaced by the name of division (“Plane” e.g. SCEM)

Divisions are composed of offices themselves divided into cell or sections.

The assistant manager of staff “operations - logistics” also ensures of the operational functions, one also calls it ALOPS (admiral controlling the operations) under the supervision of the Chief of staff of the armies.
