It is in 1998 that the two currencies of Karlsruhe and Stuttgart amalgamated under the name of Staatliche Münzen Baden-Württemberg. However, the two factories of currency kept their respective marks of workshop, namely a F for Stuttgart, and a G for Karlsruhe.
