Life
Stephanie was born in a poor and very pious family, with Brescia. She had to earn her living as maidservant. His/her father, Lorenzo Quinzani became Dominican Tertiaire whereas Stephana was still very young. She visited in her company the Dominican convent where she met the happy Matteo Carreri, which made him catechism. He also announced to him that she would be her heiress, thing which she did not include/understand before many years. As of the seven years age, it had visions of Dominican saints who upset it so much so that it made wish of poverty, chastity and obedience. Carreri died whereas Stephana was 14 years old. After its death, it appeared to him, and it is from there that it accepted the marks, as had received them to him.
At fifteen years, it became Tertiaire Dominicaine with Soncino, where it founded a community of which it was the first abbess. She bound friendship with Osanna de Mantoue and Angèle Mérici.
Stephanie had a devotion particular for Thomas d' Aquin. To fight against temptations, she imitated it while throwing herself on a cart filled with thorn-bush.
She had a special concern for poorest, the most stripped, and could in addition miraculeusement discuss theology whereas she had never made studies. Stephana also predicted the date of its death.
