Squamish (river)

The Squamish ( Squamish To rivet English ) is a relatively short river (80 km) but very broad, draining a complex of basins in the Coast Mountains just in the north of the town of Vancouver. It is thrown in the Howe Sound where also the town of Squamish is. Its principal affluents are the Cheakamus River, Elaho River and Mamquam River.
