Ecliptic evaders (survivors of the Ecliptic)

Ecliptic evaders (sometimes translated into French as survivors of the Ecliptic ) is not really a squadron but the name that were given rebellious pilots (of which Biggs Darklighter and Derek " Hobbie" Klivian) after the diversion of Frigate de Classe II Rand Ecliptic ( Ecliptic of Rand ) on which they were assigned to their exit of the imperial Academy.

Rogue (Mischievous)

The Rogue Squadron occurred after the Bataille of Yavin and the destruction of the Black Star. The commander Narra having lost the life, Luke Skywalker taken the Rouge squadron in hand and re-elected it Rogue.

In three years, the squadron of X-wing brought to a successful conclusion mission of the more high importance, as the Bataille of Ralltiir, or the extraction the imperial ones like Tycho Celchu or Kasan Moor (which will play a very important part within the squadron), and was very quickly recognized like the unit of elite of the Alliance Rebels. Avenger (Avenger)

Appearing in particular in the expansion Balance off Power of the video game X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, this squadron of elite was the first to test advanced TIE S, first hunters TIE equipped with shields of energy. Also known under the name of 181e squadron, it itself is composed of 3 squadrons. Under the orders of the Baron Soontir Fel, it is one of the most fatal squadrons of the Empire. It is composed of Intercepteur TIE which is easily recognizable thanks to the red trails painted on their solar panels (also symbolizing 10 victories in combat). This squadron is the pride of the Empire and is very famous for their tactics and their ferocity. He can be compared with the rebellious Rogue squadron.

Aggressor was a squadron of Y-wing ordered by the colonel Horton Salm after the Bataille of Endor.

Corsair (Corsair)

The Corsair squadron was a unit of X-wing created by Wes Janson and Hobbie Klivian three years after the Bataille of Endor.

Gauntlet (Gantelet)

The squadron Gauntlet was used jointly with the squadron Corsair during the Guerre of Bacta. He was composed of X-wing and B-wing.

Taanab Yellow Aces (Yellow Aces of Taanab)

Squadron of volunteers created during the war against the Yuuzhan Vong. The name was selected in memory of the Yellow As of Tierflon and Taanab the planet of origin of Wes Janson, the creator and the commander of the team. The squadron flew on A-wing and of E-wing yellows with a quite distinctive black mark.
