Spy

Spy (in Walloon Spî ) is a section of the common Belgian of Jemeppe-on-Sambre located in Walloon region in the Province of Namur.

It was a commune with whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977.

This locality is famous for the archaeological discoveries which were made there in 1886: two skeletons of the type néandertalien which ruined the assumption of a pathological malformation of cranium of Néandertal.

The village is also very commercial. A football club, Royal Spy Football Club, exists and disputes there its meetings at the Stage of the Squirrels. The squirrel being the emblem of the village (in Walloon, squirrel says spirou , from where the name of the inhabitants).
