Spurius Nautius Rutilus (consul in -488)
Spurius Nautius Rutilus is a Roman politician fifth century BC, wire of Spurius Nautius Rutilus, of which nothing is known, and brother of Caius Nautius Rutilus (Consul in 475 and 458 av. J. - C.).
In 494 av. J. - C., it would have made party of the senators which have to negotiate with the Plébéien S at the time of the insurrection of the Mont Crowned.
In 488 av. J. - C., it is elected Consul with Spurius Furius Medullinus. Coriolan, exiled to be itself alliené the Plebs and its powerful orators, walk on Rome, ordering the troops Volsques. The Consul S and the Sénat arm the people to face the threat, but try all the possibilities to find peace, as the people wish it, its courage staggering vis-a-vis this danger, according to Tite-Live.
