Sprawling Towns
the sprawling Towns is a collection of poetry written by Emile Verhaeren and published in 1895, in which it makes a blame of the cities which increase and the campaigns “empty”. One finds there also superb formulas of hope and confidence in the future. But it is also a study of the life in a modern big city.
