Sinte Gleska , or Sinte Gleśka ( Spotted Tail ) was an Indian chief of tribe Lakota of the band of the Brûlé S. Although having been a large warrior in his youth, it became convinced of uselessness being opposed to the incursions White into its native soil, and became a politician promoting peace and defending the rights of its tribe. It was a contemporary of Crazy Horse. It is said that his/her sisters Iron Between Horns and Kills Enemy would have married with his/her father after the death of his mother. Spotted Tail would have been born in 1823 or 1833. It was killed by Crow Dog in 1881 because other chiefs regarded it as a traitor in the fight to be able it between Lakotas, which followed the Guerre of Black Hills.

In 1971, the tribal university of the Indian reserve of Rosebud (South Dakota) was baptized of its name: Sinte Gleska University .
