History

Founded in 1892 pennies the name Friendly Stage Mérignacais , this club omnisport becomes the Athletic Sport Mérignacais in February 1972, after having absorbed several companies (of which the club of Rugby of the Athletic Sport Of Bordeaux ). The section Rugby evolves/moves then with the more high level, in the First Division Groups has, in 1972-73, then in 1975-76, or B (1976-77, 1992-93) Groups some, before returning in the row and disappearing from the national panorama.

In June 1998, the section Rugby is disunited and reformed under the name of Sports association Mérignac Rugby . In 2003-2004, a.S. Mérignac Rugby evolved/moved in Fédérale 3 before going down again. In 2006-2007, it evolves/moves on the first level of the regional championship.
