Sporting television channel
A sporting television channel devotes its programs to the Sport.
The first examples of sporting televisions were SportsChannel with New York in 1977 and ESPN on the American cable networks in 1979. In Europe, Screensport begins its programs in 1987 then Eurosport is created in 1989. These chains all are general sports. The Years 1990 mark appearance of three categories of sporting stations: sporting information (the Team TV or InfoSport for example), unisport (TPS Foot or Équidia for example) and chains club (OM TV or Manchester United TV for example).
