The Sporting Club Tulle maker or SC Tulle is a club of Rugby to XV French pertaining to the committee of the Limousin, whose team first evolves/moves in Fédérale 3 (D5) for the season 2006-07.

History

The club was created in 1904 and quickly profited from the contribution of young Southerners come to make their military service with the 100e regiment of infantry stationed in the city. Evolving/moving initially in regional championship, the SCT reached for the first time the First Division in 1951 and is qualified for sixteenth of finale since 1953. It will make some in the same way until 1969 without interruption, becoming thus one of the traditional clubs of French Rugby. On the whole, the SCT will dispute four quarterfinals, the last in 1980, without never being able to push the adventure further.

While taking account of its years in Group B (1973-74, 1976-77, 1988-89 to 1992-93), the SC Tulle will have spent 42 consecutive years in the First Division. Since its descent in the Second Division in 1993, the club forever successful to return at the top of French Rugby. It evolves/moves today on the last level of federal Rugby, the Fédérale 3.

The club provides several players to the XV of France, of which Michel Yachvili, father of Dimitri, international itself and current half of fray of the Olympic Biarritz.

The SC Tulle is also at the origin of the Challenge of the Hope, launched in 1955.
