Sport of combat of percussion

The term sport of combat of percussion , is an expression of the years 1970 of the university world, indicating the codified Sports of combat allowing the use of some body weapons to strike authorized body targets even added for some with techniques to project the opponent - that in a delimited space and one definite duration practices modern opposition which most of the time leads to the competition.

This grouping does not relate to the Sports of combat with weapons of the type “fencing”.

One can classify the sport of combat of percussion by categories of discipline, according to the origin, nature, the form, etc One finds two categories principal:

Category of the Martial arts and ancestral practices having a sporting outlet

  • Karate sporting resulting from Japanese martial arts, whose styles are very varied

  • the English Boxe or boxes with the fists,
  • French boxing (Savate), now called “Slipper-BF”,
  • the Japanese Kick-boxing (boxes Nipponese, kick-boxing with direct blows of knee and striking in circular kick in the thighs)
  • the Sambo resulting from the Russian practices of coil-defense
  • the Yoseikan budo
  • and finally, of the fights which associate the techniques percussion, the free Combat (Free-fight of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Mixed Martial Arts (MY), the Vale Tudo, the Pride), the Shoot wrestling Japanese Shooto, the Pancrace and the Lutte contact (French regulation).
