Spongivore

food Mode based on the consumption of sponges. Very few vertebrate are spongivores. Good number of sponge are very toxic for the majority of the organizations. The range of the Toxin S being broad, the spongivores are satisfied to consume a small number of species with sponge.

  • the overlapping Tortue is the only known reptile spongivore.

  • the Pomacanthus imperator is a coral poison
  • Some Nudibranchia are also spongivores.
