Splitgames
SplitGames is a French public limit company, founded in November 2005, offering services to the players of Video games of nature E-trade, Community and media. The company was created by Philippe Corrot, Adrien Nussenbaum and Michael Ziegler.
The principle of the site is simple, a user sends a play which it wishes to exchange and receives a number of points corresponding to the dimension of the play. With its points it can redemander another play with another user.
The team of Splitgames is composed of impassioned video games, including inter alia Régis Adonaï (writer at Playfrance) and Cédric Hourcade (founder of the site Nofrag).
In 2007,99 000 plays were exchanged since the creation date, the catalog counts more than 22.000 plays. It counts a community of more than 100.000 members. Splitgames is in 2007 the first European site of exchanges of video games.
History
- March 2006: Setting on line of the version 1.0 of the www.splitgames.com site, 1st Community site of exchange of video games.
- April 2006: Installation of the blog
- June 2006: The www.splitgames.com site is rewarded with the Clicks for Gold 2006, Grand Prix of the Internet by the Gold Click in the category “better site of sale” and the “Grand Prix of the Gold Clicks” (given by the public).
- September 2006: Realization of a lifting of funds of 2 million Euros at Crédit Agricole Private Equity
- February 2007: Enlarging of the team
- March 2007: Crossing of the 50.000 subscribers and setting on line of version 2.0 of the site SplitGames
- April 2007: Partnership with company EXALEAD for launching of GameSkoot, the first search engine set of themes dedicated to the video game.
