Splice
The splice is an act of Matelotage allowing various operations:
- to mend a rope on itself to make a eye at an end (Hawser);
- to make ajut (junction) on itself to make a sling more adapted length;
- to make ajut (junction) on another portion of of the same rope diameter to remove for example a worn part;
