Splenic vein

The splenic vein (before vein liénale) is the Veine draining the Sang Rate.

It walks on above the Pancréas, and skirts the splenic Artère, it receives then the lower mesenteric Veine then it joined the higher mesenteric Veine to form the Portal vein. The splenic segment of vein between the meeting of the lower mesenteric vein and the meeting of the higher mesenteric vein is sometimes called le' trunk spléno-mésaraïque' .

It receives branches coming from the Estomac, the Pancréas and more notably from the Côlon, this last being drained by the lower mesenteric Veine which is thrown in the splenic vein little before the formation of the portal vein.
