The splendid Perruche belongs to the kind Neophema .
Description
The splendid Parakeet is the most coloured species of this kind. Its plumage is green dark for the top and yellow for the bottom raised by other colors which make it possible to differentiate the two sexes. Indeed, the chest of the male is red while that of the female is green. The male also presents a facial blue sky, mask definitely more clearly and smaller mask in the female.
Changes
Various changes were selected in captivity, in particular that with chest apricot and that with white chest.
Distribution
This species populates southernmost Australia.
