Splash Battle

This watery attraction also called Interactive Boat Wrinkles and which means watery Bataille is a kind of interactive scenic cruising. One can consider Spritztour Erlebnispark Tripsdrill, built in 2004 by ABC Wrinkles like the first attraction of this family. It is thus a very recent attraction and which is a very great success in the world of attractions since in 2007, one counts already about fifteen models.

The concept of attraction was developed by Roger Houben , director of 3DBA, was associated with Philipp Van Stratum , which it is charged to develop the idea and the topic around attraction. It is the company Preston & Barbieri which it is occupied technical part. Their first realization was Splash Battle for Walibi World in 2005. A great success which made it possible to make attraction very popular.

Concept

The passengers take seat in a boat equipped with water cannons, the boat makes a circuit making it possible these occupants to aim and sprinkle the decoration (often interactive by a system of targets) or more cunningly to aim at the occupants of the other boats. Certain manufacturer proposes the versions " besides; parc" and " park aquatique".

Alternatives

Attraction remains the same one in its general concept but it varies on some points making it completely different. For example in certain attractions of this type, the goal is clearly to wet the others, but there exists also an alternative which consists in being kept with dryness (as with Mirabilandia). The passengers must aim at targets which will enable them to save the passage under a cascade to them.

The greatest differences are on the level of the technique of attraction:

Splash Battle

The term Splash Battle return to 3DBA which has to develop attraction like a monorail with the short-nap cloth of water. The rails are visible in this model (as with Walibi World).

Cable Battle

The company with also developed what is called the Cable Battle , the principle remains the same one except that one replaced the tip truck by a true boat which is this time Ci pulled by a laid cable (and thus less visible). Attraction Raratonga with Mirabilandia in is an example.

Boat channel

ABC Wrinkles, which also created an attraction with traction by laid cable invented with the company Loftus a new alternative which for example is used with the Futuroscope for Mission Splashes . The boats are placed in a broad channel and one of the passengers is used as driver. He directs the boat in order to help his fellow-members to be closest them target or to avoid the splashes, and he can vary speed. It is also this technology which was used in 2004 for Spritztour with Erlebnispark Tripsdrill.

Splash Battle trackless

3DBA/Preston joined the Dutch company Frog Entertainment to create another alternative; the Splash Battle trackless , which as is name indicates it will not need more rails. This version is still under development and should be born in China initially. The vehicles will have apparently a programmed course which could be changing.

HydroMania

Far Fabbri developed a model named HydroMania where the boats resemble the buoys of the fast Rivières, equipped of water pistol. The interest is here that the passengers cannot control the rotation of the buoy. The company Interlink has a similar model named River Raiders .

Tow Boat Wrinkles and Round Boat Blaster

Mack Rides also produces its version of attraction. It developed a version Tow Boat Ride with laid cable, Free flow Boat Rides with the system of channel and a version Round Boat Blaster , similar to HydroMania.
