Spirometer

A spirometer is an instrument being used to make a Spirométrie: the measurement of the Volume S of air inspired and expired by a patient as well as the Flow S being attached to it.
Types of spirometers
There exist two main categories of spirometers:- spirometers measuring a volume and providing the flow indirectly:
- “bell with water”,
- spirometer with joint of unfolding,
- bellows;
- spirometers measuring the flow and providing volume indirectly:
- turbine with optical measurement speed,
- spirometer with heating wire,
- measurement of the pressure on both sides of a resistance.
