Spiritual awakening in the traditions

The awakening , such as it is expressed in the Buddhist tradition and certain currents of the Hindouisme or as a judaïque idea and Christian of spiritual knowledge , is the angular stone of the traditional Religion S, as well as certain modern spiritual reflections. It represents the result of an evolution which leads to the emancipation to be it.

The Age of Enlightenment , which refers to the growth of maturity, when with the disappearance of the illusions of the childhood appears a better conscience of the place and role of the man in the world, is a profane parallel with the Christian spiritual concept of new birth . There is from this point of view, a similarity between the teaching of Jesus, and that of the Bouddha. This idea of second birth is also found in the tradition of the " twice nés" Brahmanism.

In its famous test of 1784, What Lights? , Emmanuel Kant is expressed as follows:

“The Lights, it is the exit of the man out of the state of supervision of which it is itself responsible. The state of supervision is the incapacity to make use of its understanding without the control of another. One is oneself responsible for this state of supervision when the cause is due not to an insufficiency of the understanding but to an insufficiency of the resolution and courage to make use of it without control of another. Sapere Aude! IEA courage to serve to you as your own understanding! Here is the currency of the Lights. ”

The spiritual awakening refers to the end of a control to the erroneous vision, with conditionings and automatisms of the human condition. There exists an analogy with the " Myth of the caverne" of Plato. The concept of spiritual awakening is also present in the esotericism.
