Spirit Airlines

Spirit Airlines (Code AITA: NK ; Code ICAO: NKS , radio operator code: Spirit Wings) is a American Airline company with low costs, whose head office has Fort Lauderdale, in Florida.

History

Spirit Airlines began in 1980, under the name of Charter One, a turn operator based with Detroit and providing voyages orgnasée towards Las Vegas, the Bahamas and other destinations tourist.

In 1990, Charter One buys its first airliners and becomes Spirit Airlines. A new line bound for Atlantic City is open. Then in 1993, it is Florida which east served, followed by Los Angeles and New York.

In 1999, the seat of the company leaves Detroit and Michigan for Florida.

Float

In 2004, Spirit launched a complete renewal of its fleet which was completed in September 2006.

Spirit has today a fleet all Airbus, made up of A319 (138 seats) and A321 (198 seats).

70 monocouloirs must be in service in 2013 against 31 in January 2007.
