Spirit-on-Nohain
Spirit-on-Nohain is a common French, located in the department of the Nievre and the area Burgundy.
Geography
Located at the extreme north of the department of Nievre, Entrains is an old Gallo-Roman city, sitting in the middle of a plain, surrounded by a range of hills (valley of Nohain) and vast forests which extend on several kilometers.
History
In the past Intaranum, important Gallo-Roman city with a road crossroads; powerful city and thrives which extends on several hundreds from hectares; one found there many vestiges of the Gallo-Roman occupation and in particular the Apollo Citharède, statue out of marble of 2,50 m preserved at the museum of Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer.

- François-Roger de Gaignières (1642-1715), collector and genealogist.
- Nicolas Augustin Paliard known as Brigadier general Ribald , of Napoleon 1e. (1756 - 1831 with Spirit-on-Nohain). He was also mayor of Spirits in Nievre of 1807 to 1831.
