Spindle (winds of wire)

The spindle is a stick out of wooden, reinflated at an end or in its center, which allows the spinning Laine, flax, hemp or Coton.

At the 13th century, it was replaced in several areas of Occident by the wheel, a machine made up of a wheel actuated by a pedal to spin the textiles.
