Spider-Man

Spider-Man is a Super-héros created in 1962 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko for number 15 of the magazine Amazing Fantasy published by Marvel Comics. The magazine will not know an additional number, but Spider-Man will have as of 1963 its clean comic book : The Amazing Spider-Man .

The French version was published by the editions Lug, as of 1969 in the review Fantask , then in 1971 in Strange . At that time, it is more commonly called “the Man-Spider” or “the Spider” (this last title being chosen by Lug to designate the character). It appears as of number 25 in cover in version painted by Jean Frisano.

Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters of the universe of the comics. With the passing of years, other periodicals will be devoted to him.

Adaptations animated for television and of films for the cinema will make their appearance. Since 2002, the series of films Spider-Man of Sam Raimi in which Tobey Maguire interprets the principal double-role is a planetary success. Spider-Man reached the 11th place of films the most seen in the world, with a total of more than 806 million dollars of entries. The continuation Spider-Man 2 left in 2004 and Spider-Man 3 in 2007.

History

Only sons of Richard and Mary Parker, Peter Parker became orphan at the six years age, when his/her parents were killed while they worked under cover for the government. Parker was thus left with the care of his/her uncle and his aunt, Benjamin and May Parker, who raised it as the child that they had never had and it very early showed an affinity for sciences that it had a perfect command of. Socially, however, it was very introverted, and thus the target of many affronts. His/her uncle and his aunt compensated for that by an immutable love, but they worried in secrecy about what Peter could keep for him, being given its emotional and physical brittleness.

One day, following an experiment to which it assists, it is bitten by a Araignée whose DNA was modified artificially. This bite will confer super-capacities to him: a force and an agility out of the commun run as well as a “direction of spider” informing it of the imminent dangers.

Initially, Peter Parker will make profitable his capacities coldly acquired to earn money. But very quickly, a drama will change its life… It will let a robber escape whereas he could very easily have stopped it, pretexting that it is not its problem. Little time after, his/her uncle is killed by a burglar. Drunk of anger, it launches out to the continuation of the assassin who, once stopped, proves to be the robber that it had not condescended to apprehend. As from this moment, its vocation will be to fight against the crime and to follow the proverb of his/her late uncle: “A great capacity implies great responsibilities. ”

To earn money, to provide for his needs, and those of his aunt in addition to his expenses of studies, Peter must quickly find a work. Having a camera, it makes photographs of itself in behavior of Spider-Man, then will sell them with various newspapers. He will be noticed by J. Jonah Jameson, owner and editor association of the Daily Bugle , whose employees and buildings will henceforth play a great part in its career.

J. Jonah Jameson is the prototype even the envieux one: all the supermen are in its eyes as well as possible of the profiteurs of glory, at worst of the criminals than it is necessary to uncover with the eyes of the public. Spider-Man will be its preferred target, not to say single. And Peter Parker, as a teenager badly in his skin, will have great difficulty with the public opinion, the police force, his boyfriends, his cardiac aunt and the criminals whom it will meet not to reveal his identity.

  • Robbie Robertson and George Stacy without any doubt is persuaded of the double identity of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, but they will never have the least proof of it, and will always treat it like a hero.

  • to defer It Ben Urich (in addition friendly of Daredevil) deduced the double identity from his/her colleague at the time of the revelation of the secret identity of Matt Murdock in the pages of Daily Globe, but will acknowledge it to him only for the needs for an investigation.

In one of the longest and discussed sagas history of the comics, Saga of the Clones, the life of Spider-Man was upset by the irruption of its clones, Ben Reilly and Kaine. He believed even a moment being the clone and gave up the costume of Spider-Man with Reilly. Finally, Peter Parker recovered the costume with dead of Reilly, which proved well to be a clone.

Before Civil War , Peter Parker lived with his wife Mary Jane and his aunt (after the cases of arson which devastated its apartment and the house of aunt May) in the Stark Tower, who was also the HQ of the New Avengers, of which Spider-Man formed part (with Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Woman, Iron Man, Luke Cage and Sentry).

During Civil War, the life of Spider-Man changed forever because Peter revealed his secret identity with the whole world, which uncovers it under its true day.

Spider-Girl

She lives in an alternate universe, baptized universe MC2 (for Marvel Comics 2), in which Peter Parker stopped his career of superman following a last combat against the Green Buffoon Fifteen years later, his/her daughter, May Parker, take again the costume that Ben Reilly carried.

Its regular series (scenarized by Tom DeFalco and drawn by Stalemate Oliffe) stopped with the number #100, but was started again under the title The Amazing Spider-Girl .

Spider-Man 2099

This hero, whose adventures proceed in the future, had his regular series until the universe 2099 is stopped. He then reappeared in the series Captain Marvel volume 3 , making it possible Peter David to finish intrigues which he had launched, and recently joined the Exiles.

Scarlet Spider

Scarlet Spider is the identity taken by Ben Reilly (the clone of Peter) when it was found only vis-a-vis a serious threat: Venom. It preserved this identity some time, until one learns that it was truth Peter Parker. It takes the identity of Spider-Man then some time, before the truth is not revealed by the Green Bouffon: it was well the clone.

In the universe of Spider-Girl, Scarlet Spider makes also its appearance: Felicia Hardy (the Black She-cat) makes use of it to come to assistance has Spider-Girl.

Araña

Araña is the last born. Created in the new series Amazing Fantasy (published in France in the pages of Spider-Man Out of the ordinary ), it obtained its own series quickly. It belongs to a mysterious organization, founded by Ezekiel, which fights the " guêpes".

  • red and traditional blue:
This costume is out of fabric screen printed, red and blue, with a reason for black fabric and a of the same spider color on the chest. It is its principal costume which makes it possible the whole world to recognize it. To this mythical costume a series of sophisticated gadgets is added: lance-fabrics hidden under the gloves, a belt including/understanding a signal projecting the sign of the spider, the cartridges of fabric of replacement, the magnetic tracers to follow its enemies and the essential miniature camera which makes it possible Peter Parker to have the best photographs to sell in Daily Bugle. To note that in films of Sam Raimi, the jet of fabric is made by Spider-Man itself thanks to a change of its wrists at the time of the puncture of initial spider. This modification of capacities was injected first of all in 2003 in the series Spectacular Spider-Man (scenarized by Paul Jenkins), but the scenario writers of the other series did not relay the change, so that this capacity irruption at the conclusion of the saga The Other/l' Autre remade (written by Joe Michael Straczynski and distributed on all the regular series Spider-Man in 2005), as if it had just appeared for the first time…

  • the first black suit:

Then during the Secret Wars, the Spider acquired a black suit which proved to be an living being. Extraterrestrial symbion, it recovers the body of its hosts and is nourished of their adrenalin. It separated some with the assistance from Mr.Fantastic, by imprisoning it in a cage of glass thanks to a sonic ray. One day, Eddie Brock, old photo-to defer, amalgamated with this costume and became Venom. A red costume and blue which is in fact that of the clone of Peter, Ben Reilly in the saga of the clones ( Web off Spider-Man #118 )

  • Iron-Spidey :

Following the apparent death of Peter in the saga " Autre" , its close relations get rid of any trace of its secret identity. When it makes its return, it thus does not have any more a Spider-costume and Tony Stark alias Iron Man conceives new then to him. Stark being the creator of the costume, it decides to give him its colors: red and gold. It is the first costume carried by Spider-Man which has such colors. It will be however only temporary. Three " pattes" mechanics can leave the back and one also notes that the lenses of the mask are they also gilded, which there still mark a first ( The Amazing Spider-Man #529). But it finds its cstume traditional since it is side of Captain America in the Civil War.

In the reality deteriorated by the Red Witch, the identity of Peter Parker as Spider-Man is public, it is married with Gwen Stacy and they have both a child, Richie.
