The sphinx of the privet is a Lépidoptère pertaining to Sphingidae.

  • Scale of the male: 52 to 51 Misters
  • Period of flight: from May to August, one to two generations.
  • Habitat: gardens meadows.
  • Plant-hosts: Ligustrum , Syringa , Fraxinus , Viburnum , Nerium , Sambucus , Spiraea , Paulownia , Catalpa , Jasminum and Ulex .
