Sphinx of the oak

The sphinx of the oak is a Lépidoptère pertaining to Sphingidae.

  • Distribution: Morocco and west of the Europe until in minor Asia.

  • Scale of the male: 40 to 50 Misters
  • Period of flight: from May to August.
  • Habitat: forests of oaks to 1500 Mr.
  • Plant-hosts: Quercus .

It is a moth to the wings color of dead sheet.
