Sphinx of the gaillet

The sphinx of the gaillet ( Hyles gallii ), or sphinx of the garance , is a Lépidoptère pertaining to Sphingidae.

  • Distribution: species Holarctique.

  • Scale of the male: from 29 to 34 Misters
  • Period of flight: from May to October in two generations.
  • Habitat: sandy places or limestones.
  • Plant-hosts: Rubia , Gallium , Euphorbia , Asperula and Epilobium .
