Sphactery
Sphactérie (in Greek old Σφακτηρίη/ Sphaktêriê ) is the ancient name one of island of Messénie, placed at the entry of the Golfe of Pylos, one of the most important ports of Greece.
During Antiquity, it was the place of the Bataille of Sphactérie during the Peloponnesian War.
