Speed limits in Italy

In Italy (official abbreviation: I ), the speed limits in force are the following ones:

  • 50 km/h downtown
  • 90 km/h except agglomeration
  • 110 km/h on fast track (announced by a highway panel to blue bottom)
  • On Highway (announced by a highway panel to green bottom):
    • 130 km/h per good weather;
    • 110 km/h in rainy weather.

Other rules and custom and habits

  • Lighting of the obligatory dipped headlights:
    • On highway;
    • 1/2 hour before laying down it sun;
    • up to 1/2 hour after the rising of the sun.
  • maximum Blood alcohol content authorized at the wheel: 0,5 alcohol g/L in blood.
  • the parking is regulated by a marking out of the ground:
    • free: white lines;
    • paying: blue lines;
    • reserved: yellow lines.
  • the warning triangle is obligatory.
  • In intersection, when one turns left, the crossing is carried out by front, with the indonĂ©sienne and as the the United States.
