In Iceland (official abbreviation: IS ), the speed limits in rigor are the following ones:

50 km/h in agglomeration
Except agglomeration

80 km/h on the roads not asphalted
90 km/h on the tarred roads

No highways

Other rules

Lighting of the obligatory dipped headlights 24:00 /24;
maximum Blood alcohol content authorized at the wheel: 0,5 alcohol g/L in blood.
