The Specific Allocation of Solidarity ( ASS ) is an allowance of French assistance which can be versed to the people having exhausted their rights to profit from the insurance unemployment.
The ASS was created in 1984. One counted 96.600 allocatees with the end of the year of his creation. In January 1997, the total reached a number of 520.000 people to decrease on a level of 348.600 people end 2003.
The ASS is decreased if the resources of the allocatee exceed the fixed ceilings.
For a person alone whose resources lie between 580,40 EURO and 1015,70 EURO per month, the amount of the ASS is of 1015,70 EURO minus the amount of the resources of the recipient (amounts at January 1st, 2007).
For a couple with the resources ranging between 1160,80 EURO and 1596,10 EURO per month, the ASS is of 1596,10 EURO minus the resources of the recipient (amounts at January 1st, 2007).
Conditions of payment of the raised ASS:
Attention, the increase of the ASS which applied to certain allocatees is removed since the 1/1/2004.
However, the allocatees in the course of compensation at the 1/1/2004 who perceived increase as those which answered the conditions of attribution of increase before this date continue to perceive it until the expiry of their rights to the ESA
The conditions making it possible to profit from this increase are thus from now on the following ones:
to be 55 years old or more and to justify 20 years of paid activity at the latest the 12/31/2003, to be old of 57 years and half or more and to justify 10 years of paid activity at the latest the 12/31/2003. The increase being of 6,32 EURO /jour, the amount of the raised ASS is of 20,83 EURO /jour (amounts at January 1st, 2007).
