Special zone of conservation
In right of the European Union, a special Zone of conservation ( ZSC ), is " a Community site of importance indicated by the Member States by a lawful, administrative and/or contractual act where the conservation measures necessary to the maintenance or re-establishment are applied, in a favorable state of conservation, natural habitats and/or populations of the species for which the site is désigné"
(Directive 92/43/CEE of the Council, of May 21st, 1992, concerning the conservation of the natural habitats as well as fauna and flora savages).
