Special court for the safety of the State

The Special court for the safety of the State is a legal court whose specific role is to consider the offenses made against the safety of the State and the fascistic mode in Italy. it was instituted to it November 25th 1926 by law N. 2008 " Measurements for the defense of État" .

During the fascistic mode the special court with the possibility of putting in residence, of informing and of condemning the political defendants held to be dangerous for the law and order and the safety of the mode. With this law of creation of the court, the capital punishment for certain offenses with political character is reintroduced.

The Special court east dissolves the July 25th 1943, following the fall of the fascistic mode. A court bearing the same name is created during Italian Social republic in December 1943 which will exist until the end of 1945.

Composition

The Special court was composed of a president chosen among the general officers of the Army, the marine , the aeronautical and the Voluntary Milice for the National security, of five judges chosen by the officers of the Voluntary Militia for the National security, one having the rank of consul and for the others, in permanent active service or leave or except framework, and a clerk without right to vote chosen among the personnel of military justice.
