The Spean Thma ( the stone bridge) or Spean Thmor according to unquestionable older texts, is a bridge on the site of Angkor to the Kampuchea. It is located on the way which leaves the face Is city, and near the two temples of Chau Say Thevoda and Thommanon.
It was built on the old course of the river Siem Reap between Angkor Thom and the Eastern baray after the time angkorienne (15th century), perhaps to replace a former bridge. It indeed includes/understands many blocks of sandstone of re-employment.
One can see the 14 arches built in Encorbellement and, so extremely narrow (1,10 m).
Several other bridges of the same style are visible in Angkor even (Spean Memai in the North-West of the Western baray ) and on the roads of the old Khmer empire. On the road of Siem Reap to Kompong Thom, the Spean Prap Tos is one of largest with 25 arches.
