Spawning ground

A spawning ground is the place where the Poisson S and the Batracien S reproduce (or now Amphibians) and by extension the Mollusque S and the Crustacé S.

It is thus often also the place where the females deposit their egg S so that the males recover them seed since the reproduction at the majority as of these animals is external.

The spawning grounds are often on the sandy or sablo-muddy funds of the rivers, the ponds, the lakes, of the marshes, of the estuaries, even of the very major marine zones.
