Spanish Réal
The Spanish réal is a currency of money of 3,35 grams, which started to circulate in Castille at the 14th century and which was the base of the Spanish monetary system until the middle of the 19th century. Starting from 1497, it has a value of 34 Maravédis. Its exchange at the time of Philippe II is of a money réal against 34 maravédis, and 1 ecu of Or against 16 réaux of money.
The multiples were the currencies of 2 réaux, 4 réaux, and the coin of 8 réaux (the famous real of has ocho , in Spanish).
