Spalding is a company of articles of sports created with Chicago by Albert Spalding in 1876. Spalding manufactures products for many sports, including the Baseball, the Football, the Softball, the Volley-ball, the American football, the Golf, and mainly the Basket-ball. Spalding is the leader in basketball, and their sales in basketball exceed those of the other sports. Their balloon the most famous is the official balloon of NBA, which contributed to their immense success. Spalding became a division of Russell Corporation in 2003.

Basketball

Spalding is in addition a technological leader. The majority of their technological innovations relate to the basketball.

Spalding declared, in agreement with the NBA which he wanted to create a new official balloon for NBA. But much about players complained that the new composition of the balloon returned extremely it slipping after a certain use. That was due to the technology used for its manufacture. The players also complained that the balloon did not rebound also high and awkwardly. They also complained that the balloon cut the fingers to them. January 1st 2007, Spalding reintroduces its old balloon then.

Spalding plans to manufacture a new balloon for the season 2007-2008.
