The Space Needle is a built futuristic tower with Seattle in the state of Washington. At the top of this work a platform with the pace of Flying saucer is which made it popular.

History

This tower was built at the time of the World Fair of 1962 which had as a subject the 21e century. The translation of Space Needle is the switches space .

From the platform of observation which dominates the city, one can see the Olympic peninsula, assembly line of the Cascades and the Mont Rainier. Space Needle which culminates with 182 meters is conceived to resist winds of 360 km/h, like the Earthquakes, as that of 1965 which reached 6,5 on the scale of Richter.

With the foot of the tower Seattle Center is who is a park of cultural activities builds at the same time.
