Southern All Stars
Southern All Stars (サザンオールスターズ) is a group of Rock/Jpop Japanese, known also under the name of SAZAN . More than one group, they are a true phenomenon Japanese. This group, represents the Japanese modernism in all its splendor, of the quinquagénaires on-vitaminized, delirious, give fishing to million Salaryman which can be refreshed by listening to them. Their fans come from all the generations. The Southern All Stars is a group made up of 5 members.-
Keisuke Kuwata (born the February 26th 1956 with Chigasaki), he is leader of the group, Chanteur and he plays of the Guitare. It is the principal creator of the words of the songs of the group.
- Yuko Hara (born the December 11th 1956 with Yokohama, its nickname: " Harabo"), she plays of the keyboard, it is the woman of Keisuke Kuwata, she also made a very promising career solo.
- Kazuyuki Sekiguchi (born the December 21st 1955 with Niigata), he is the bass player of the group. It also has a career solo in parallel of its life in the group.
- Hiroshi Matsuda (born the April 4th 1956 with Miyazaki), it is the beater of the group.
- Hideyuki Nozawa (born the October 19th 1954 with Tokyo, its nickname: " Kegani (Hairy Crab) "), he is percussionnist, it is also the buffoon of the group.
In the past, Takashi Omori was the former guitarist of the group, he left it in August 2001.
History of the group
Firstly, Keisuke Kuwata being student at the university of Aoyama Gakuin University, it created a group in the name of " Better Days." During this period, it met Yuko Hara and Kazuyuki Sekiguchi…
Southern All Stars began with the individual , " 勝手にシンドバッド (Katte nor Shindobaddo) " , exit the June 25th 1978. Thanks to their vocal techniques and to their texts, Southern All Stars returned very quickly in the Japanese charts and became a group impossible to circumvent. Very quickly their image of inveterate buffoons enjoua the public, their dedication will come in 1979 with their third individual " いとしのエリー (Itoshi No Ellie) " , a genuine paperboard. But the true success of the group is them 44ème individual " TSUNAMI" who was sold with more than 3 million specimen and gained the 42ème price of the Japan Record Large Prize in 2000. In 2003, the group celebrated their 25th birthday, and in spite of their age, they are not ready to stop as soon as.
